Packing your Lawnmower and Garden Tools

Packing instructions:
If you do not take the proper steps when packing your lawn supplies, you will be left with a big mess to clean up. Remember to follow these instructions before packing your cardboard boxes and moving.
- Hose down the underside of your lawnmower to clear off all grass and rubbish. Then hose down the rest of your lawn tools and supplies.
- Before packing it, drain gas and oil from lawnmower into an appropriate container. Call the EPA, local officials or local dump for information on proper disposal.
- Tape or tie together all the handles from your lawn and garden equipment, items such as shovels, rakes, etc., before packing them into boxes.
- Packing your smaller lawn & garden equipment, like trowels, in a separate cardboard moving box is a good idea.
- You don’t want your cardboard moving boxes getting wet for obvious reasons, so be sure to drain every last drop of water out of your garden hose before rolling it up. Then simply place it in a packing box. Make sure there is nothing sharp in there that can puncture the hose.
