How to Pack Lamps
Packaging & Moving supplies needed:
A. Adhesive packaging Tape
B. Medium or large Moving boxes
C. Bubble wrap packaging
Packing instructions:
- Start by removing the light bulbs, harps and lamp shades.
-Using bubble wrap, encircle the shades and place them in a large moving box with crumbled packaging paper.
- Next take the electrical cord and wrap it around the lamp and then pack the lamp in bubble wrap. A safe place to put and protect the lamp from damage during moving is an unplugged dryer or defrosted refrigerator. Another choice you have is to purchase cardboard boxes, and wrap your lamp in protective packaging or bedding sheets and place it upright in the moving box. Wrap the harp with packing paper, and tape it to the inside wall of the box. Use tissue to wrap shades. Place the shades upright in
a large carton and then place them in boxes of crumbled paper. Use adhesive packaging tape to seal box and label "Lamps".
