DIY garment bag for packing your clothes
Sunday, May 17th, 2009When you are packing up your closet for moving, we strongly suggest using wardrobe moving boxes to help you keep all your clothing very safe and make for fast and easy packing. If you don’t have any wardrobe moving boxes, then another method you can use to protect your clothing is a garment bag. Most people have at least 1 garment bag, which they usually got for free with a purchase of a suit or dress but if you don’t have one don’t worry, we’ll show you how to make one in a jiffy.
Simply take one large garbage bag and make a 4 inch hole at the bottom of the bag. Next, take a group of clothing on the hangers and put them into the garbage bag through the large opening till the hanger tops are sticking out of the small ripped hole. Once that done, take a rubber band and tie it around the hanger tops to keep them together. After that, you can fold the bag with your clothing in half and place into a boxor luggage.
This do it yourself garment bag will keep your clothing from getting wrinkled and offers good protection from dust and stains.
