Don’t get Burned when packing your moving boxes
Wednesday, July 28th, 2010Moving in the summer months can be tough because of the hot weather and strong sun. There are 3 very important tips that can keep you cool and safe when packing your moving boxes into your rent a truck on those hot sunny days:
1) Drink lots of water - Hot weather and physical activity such as lifting heavy moving boxes will get you sweating very fast. This can cause you to dehydrate if you haven’t been drinking lots of fluids. Remember to have a bottle of water near by or even drinking liquid like Gatorade will help you stay hydrated and full with energy for packing boxes into your rental truck.
2) Put on sunscreen – Hot sun and fresh pale skin equal trouble especially if you burn easily. Today they have sun block in spray cans so putting it on is fast, easy and no mess.
3) Shades – no not window shade, we are talking sunglasses. You can buy a pair for as low as $10 at your local drug store.
All 3 tips are very important but if #2 and #3 are not possible because you already packed your sun block and sunglasses into your moving boxes, try using a baseball hat which will offer some protection from the sun.
