Selling stuff to help pay for Moving Boxes
So you want to raise some money to help pay for your move, buy moving boxes or just so you can purchase stuff for your new place. Things to keep in mind when selling items:
1) Post them for sale in multiple places. For example, flyers at local grocery stores and online classifieds.
2) Always start selling these items in advance. Usa at least 4-6 weeks before your moving day so to have enough time to sell items.
3) Make sure you use “staging” for your items to ensure they look great. For this example look at the photos above of the sofa for sale. In the 1st picture the sofa looks nice but in the 2nd picture it looks perfect. The 2nd picture gives people the feeling of having it in their house. This was created by simple “staging” using lamps and coffee table to make the sofa look more appealing to people by showing it to them in a life like setting.
Always remember the better your item looks in its for sale sign the more responses you will get. If you are not getting a lot of responses on your item try lowering the price or offering something free along with it.
