A.
1)First things first, you should start by trimming any long branches that might break off during the move or cause a problem when carrying.
2)Second, drain all excess water from the plant pots.
3)Third, line the moving boxes that you are going to use with a tough plastic bag or a bin liner (garbage bag works well). This is to make sure the if any soil spills, it will be contained
and not get all over your other items.
4) Place a layer of bubble wrap on the inside of the box to cushion breakable pots from the bottom.
5)Fourth, wrap your plant pots with stretch wrap or package them inside a separate plastic bag for extra protection against spill , then place inside the box.
6)Fifth, if you have more then one plant pot in a box and they are breakable, separate them with bubble wrap or crumbled ink less wrapping paper.
7) Lastly, leave the box open so you don't accidentally stack other moving boxes on top.
Tall plants and pots full of soil can be heavy in weight, make sure you always have assistance in carrying them. Another consideration is to give your plants away and purchase other ones when you get to your new home.
