Tips on using moving supplies for packing

packing Foof Chair Q. I am moving a 6 ft foof chair, do you know how to shrink them or tips on packing it?

Unfortunately there is no way to pack it the way it was shipped to you.  Companies that sell this product have special factory size machines that vacuum  the inside of package in order to reduce shipping costs.  It is a heavy object and there is no solution to try and make it lighter before shipping it unless you have access to the same vacuum machines mentioned above.  What you want to focus on when moving the foof chair (bean bag)is to protect the exterior material so it does not get damaged or dirty during the move.  In order to do that you should use a roll of bubble wrap that you have bought to wrap around your foof chair.  This will help give it a basic layered protection in case it is not handled carefully and carelessly thrown against sharp edged objects.  The next step would be to wrap around the bubble wrap with stretch wrap since this layer is great for protecting against dust and scratches and will also serve as an important second layer to give the chair proper protection during your move.  Make sure to stretch wrap as tightly as possible around the bubble wrap layer in order to try and condense the mass of the chair.

Packing Tips:

  • In the moving truck try and avoid stacking heavy boxes on top of your foof chair since the edges of the boxes may pierce through the wrapped layers and material of the chair.
  • I would recommend contacting the retailer and/or manufacturer where you purchased your foof chair from and ask them if there are any special packing procedures to follow when moving such an item.

Note: Direct Moving Boxes.com sells medium size bubble wrap thats 12" wide & 100 feet for only $20. The bubble wrap is perforated, so you will not need a scissor to separate pieces.
Stretch wrap 5"x1000 foot roll just $14. The stretch wrap includes a handle for easy wrapping.
