Moving Companies will not ...
Appliances: Disconnecting your major appliances is something that a moving company will not do as to protect themselves. Start by unplugging dishwasher, stove, refrigerator (make sure its empty), washer and dryer before the moving company arrives. Don't forget about your computer, back-up all important files. Unplug and organize all connection wires to make things easier when unpacking.
Living Things: Transporting living thing such as plants and pets is something moving companies will not do. If you are going to take them with you, make sure and prepare them there own box/suitcase.
Hazardous Materials: Moving companies will not pack hazardous materials nor will they transport them. A list of some of these materials are: propane, firearms and ammo, bottled gases, lamp oil, solvents, paint, thinners, oils, anything flammable, explosive or corrosive, bleach, aerosol cans, motor fuels and oils. If you are not sure of an item, make sure and read the warning label as well as ask the moving company.
