Taping
up Moving Boxes
The below diagram is an illustration of cardboard moving boxes that have been taped shut using the letter "H" taping technique. It is recommended that you use professional packing tape to seal closed your cardboard moving boxes. Also, having a packing tape dispenser will make your taping job much easier and faster, plus it beats your using your teeth.

Taping your Moving Boxes: (packing steps 1-5)
1) start buy unfolding your flat moving boxes into their rectangular shape
2) Bend all the cardboard box flaps shut on one side, so that your moving boxes are closed at one end (View Diagram A.)
3) Starting from the mid center side (not the top or bottom)of your cardboard moving boxes, begin taping up and across the length of you box (View Diagram B.)
Do not cut the packing tape till you get to the other side of the box mid center point.
4) Apply some pressure to the center of the closed box with one hand and then begin tapping the left and right sides of the cardboard moving boxes (View Diagram C. and D.)
5) Turn the cardboard moving boxes over and begin packing your items inside.

After your packing is complete, Follow the steps 1-4 of Taping Your Moving Boxes to seal shut the top of your cardboard boxes and get them ready for loading into the rental truck. Remember, the above illustration is an example of one way you can tape up your cardboard moving boxes during packing. Keep in mind that depending on how much you packed inside your cardboard moving boxes, you may have to use more or less tape.
