Cardboard boxes in the Hall of fame for Toys

Cardboard boxes, more then just a moving supply! cardboard boxes great for moving fun for play
fun with Cardboard boxes

Most of use cardboard boxes for moving and packing our things.  When we make a purchase or get delivery, our item usually comes packaged in cardboard boxes.  It seems that our society would not be able to package products so well and ship them at lower prices if it was not for this light weight and cost efficient corrugated material.

Don’t let the word “cardboard boxes” fool you in thinking all business.   For children cardboard boxes mean fun! The National Toy Hall of Fame just included cardboard boxes as one of three new additions along side Candy land the board game and the Jack in the Box.  You can visit the National Toy Hall of Fame at the Strong Museum located in Rochester New York.  They have an assortment of over 70,000 toys and dolls in their museum

Cardboard boxes may be simple but to a child it lets them explore their creative side and create a whole world of their own.  Personally I do not think giving your child 1 dozen medium boxes for their birthday will go to well with them, but as weekend fun it works great.

So before you recycle your empty moving boxes or other cardboard containers, let you children explore the possibilities in creating something interesting and unique in their own way.  Add a box of Crayons, or paint and watch as those boring cardboard boxes turn into something exciting fun.
