Packing up Empty Cardboard Boxes

Instructions: Using packing tape to package empty cardboard moving boxes together.

First: Begin by organizing all the flattened cardboard moving boxes in a pile that is similar in shape and size. This will assist you in keeping hold of the cardboard boxes when packing them up with adhesive tape.

Group a manageable amount of similar sized cardboard boxes together. Then using your packing tape, start to place a piece in the front middle of the end cardboard box. Then continue going around to the middle of the other side of the cardboard boxes with the same piece of packing tape. Rip that piece of packing tape and start a new one. Next, follow the same method listed above but for the left, right and bottom of your cardboard boxes. After that, continue with your next set of flattened cardboard moving boxes.

Packing Carboard Boxes Tip:
Unless you have very sharp teeth, using a tape dispenser is an inexpensive ($15, moving supplies) and a smart idea to help you cut the packing tape. Also, it is recommended that you use professional packing adhesive tape that will stick better to the cardboard boxes and hold them together tighter. You can also use rope for packing flattened cardboard boxes.

Packing Note:
Depending on how many and the sizes of your cardboard boxes you might need to use more or less adhesive packing tape. Remember, cardboard boxes even when empty and folded flat, can get very heavy in weight. So it is better taping smaller piles of empty cardboard boxes to make for easier carrying. If you pack to many empty cardboard boxes together, the tape will give way and break open when you are lifting it.

A convenient thing about cardboard boxes is that they don't take up much space when folded flat and they are reusable. Cardboard boxes always come in handy when its time for putting things into storage or moving. Also you can always recycle your cardboard boxes if you no longer have a use for them.
