Some times used bubble wrap can look like the bubbles have air in them, but they are really leaking air. If used, you are talking a risk with protecting your stuff.

How can you prevent air from escaping the bubbles in your bubble wrap?

The only way to keep the air from escaping your bubble wrap is to simply not use it, but that is not why you are purchasing these moving supplies. Generally said, you should stick to using medium sized bubble wrap because it is known to be stronger then the small and larger bubbles. Also, double bubble wrap items that are heavier in weight. This will help in preventing damage if your first layers of bubble wrap losses air in the bubbles. Quick Tips: If you are worried that the item you are packing is to heavy for the bubble wrap, there are some options to help. For example, if the item can fit into a box, start by placing a layer of packaging bubble wrap into an empty cardboard box. Next place a flat layer of cardboard ( cut an end off one of your other boxes). Following this place another layer of bubble wrap and another layer of cardboard box. Place your wrapped item on the last layer of cardboard box. By doing the above, you are helping the cardboard box distribute the weight of your item evenly across the entire surface area of the bubble wrap.
